The Power She Holds is a collaborative project by Liss Febrero and aLot of Poetry that explores the connection between women, cultural heritage, and the traditions that bring communities together. Through illustrated textiles and hand-stitched details, the work celebrates the knowledge, resilience, and stories passed down through generations.

Inspired by the role of handcrafts as both creative expression and cultural memory, the piece reflects on the ways women carry history, nurture relationships, and create spaces of belonging. By combining illustration, fabric, and embroidery, The Power She Holds honors the strength found in shared experiences and the enduring connections woven through family, community, and tradition.

Developed as part of the TD Incubator Artists Program at the Werklund Centre, the project invites viewers to reflect on the value of handmade practices and the stories they continue to preserve.
